Our extensive .NET development experience goes back to the genesis of .NET in 2000 when it was still known as “ASP+”. Our expertise in windows development is based off the Microsoft framework and its n-tier methodology. We use a proprietary framework and controls that were designed internally by TSG. Web Development
Our web development is based off the Microsoft framework and best practices of web design. We make sure that we are quick in the adaptation of new capabilities as programming methodologies advance and improve. For example, TSG is helping to pioneer the use of a new technology known as “Model-View-Controller” (MVC). Our current web site is written in this new architecture which has several important advantages over older development technologies.

Mobile Development

Our hand held applications are developed using C# for Windows Mobile, Xcode for iPhone and Java for all other mobile devices like Google’s Android/G1. N-Tiered Development
Integral to TSG’s software development methodology is the N-tiered model where the presentation layer, application layer (business logic), and data layer are developed and maintained as separate and independent modules, most often on separate platforms.
Presentation Layer (User Interface)
The presentation layer is the top level of the application and is designed to interact with the user by presenting data which can be easily, succinctly and safely manipulated. The main function of the interface is to translate tasks and results into something the user can understand (form). TSG has designed many different types of presentation layers for Windows, Web and Hand Held platforms.
Application Layer (Business Logic)
The Application Layer defines the basic functionality of software by encapsulation of the business rules and logic. The application layer performs the detailed processing as a result of actions performed in the presentation layer. Thus the Application layer coordinates the application, processes commands, makes logical decisions and evaluations, and performs calculation (function). It also moves and process data between the two surrounding layers.
Data Layer
The Data Layer most often consists of database servers or clusters where information is stored and retrieved. This tier keeps data neutral and independent from application servers or business logic. Giving data its own tier improves scalability and performance.
